1. WHO WE ARE

Reddy Matrimony is a matrimonial service run by Reddymatrimony, K.R.T. Building, Old No. 36/1, New No. 34A, Gangai Amman Koil Street, Jafferkhanpet, Chennai 600083 ("the Trust", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. By registering or using this website you agree to this policy.

2. WHAT WE COLLECT

Information you give us when you register or edit your profile:

Your name, gender, date of birth, marital status, height, mother tongue, caste and religion
Education, occupation, income and work location
Family details and your partner preferences
Horoscope details (rasi, star, birth time and place and similar)
Your contact details: email address, mobile number and address
Your photographs
A copy of your Aadhaar, which we ask for when you register, used only to verify your identity (see section 5)
What you write in your profile text, your messages and the interests you send or accept

Information about payments:

The plan you chose, the amount, the date, the payment method (bank transfer, UPI or cash), a reference number, and the name on the receipt. We do not collect or store card numbers. Online card payments are not switched on at present.

Information collected automatically:

Technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open, kept in server logs for security and to fix faults
Cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your language and display choices (see section 9)

3. WHY WE USE IT

To create and show your profile to other members and to help members find suitable matches
To check profiles before they are shown, and to keep the service safe, genuine and free of abuse
To let members send interests and messages, and to send you notices about your account (for example email confirmation, password reset and plan renewal reminders)
To record membership payments and issue receipts
To keep our accounts as the law requires
To answer your questions and complaints
To meet our legal duties

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising by other companies.

4. WHO CAN SEE YOUR INFORMATION

Other members:

Your profile (without your contact details) may be seen by other registered members while your profile is live.
Your photographs are shown only to members whose plan allows it, through protected links that expire after a few minutes.
Your contact details are shown only to members who are entitled to view them under their plan.
Your identity document is never shown to other members.

Our staff: authorised staff of the Trust can see your information so they can approve profiles, support members and keep the service safe. Access is limited to what each person needs.

Service providers: we use a hosting and email provider (Hostinger) and a domain and DNS provider (GoDaddy) to run the website and send our emails. They handle information only to provide those services to us.

The law: we may disclose information to a court, police or another authority when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of members and the public.

5. IDENTITY DOCUMENTS (AADHAAR)

When you register, we ask you to upload a copy of your Aadhaar. We use it only to verify your identity and the details in your profile. We store it encrypted, in private storage that is separate from what other members can see. It is never shown or sent to other members. The copy is deleted automatically after 90 days. After that we keep only a record that your profile was verified, and the date. We do not use your Aadhaar for any other purpose.

6. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

Profile information: while your account is active.
Messages and interests: while your account is active.
Identity documents (Aadhaar): deleted automatically after 90 days. We keep only the record that you were verified, and the date.
Payment records: for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law. When an account is erased, we remove the email address and postal address from the payment records we must keep. The name on the receipt remains.
Backups: we keep encrypted backups of the website for up to 30 days. If your account is erased, your information is removed from the live website at once, but a copy may remain in an encrypted backup until that backup is overwritten, within about 30 days.
Server logs: for as long as needed for security and to fix faults.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you may:

Ask for a summary of the personal information we hold about you
Ask us to correct or update information that is wrong or incomplete (you can also edit most of it yourself in your profile)
Ask us to erase your information and close your account
Withdraw your consent to our using your information
Name another person to exercise your rights if you die or cannot act for yourself
Make a complaint about how we handle your information

To use any of these rights, write to info@reddymatrimony.co.in from the email address on your account. We will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.

8. SECURITY

We use measures that are reasonable for a service of this kind: the website is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored in protected form, identity documents and photographs are kept private and delivered through protected links, staff access is limited, and we keep encrypted backups. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please keep your password private and sign out on shared devices.

9. COOKIES

We use only the cookies the website needs to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a security cookie that protects forms, and small preference cookies for your language and display choices. You can block cookies in your browser, but the website may not work without the ones listed here.

10. WHO MAY USE THE SERVICE

The service is only for people who have reached the legal age for marriage in India (18 for women, 21 for men) and who are free to marry. If a parent or guardian registers a profile for an adult family member, they confirm that the person has agreed. We do not knowingly collect information about children.

11. EMAILS

We send emails that are part of the service, such as confirming your address, resetting your password and reminding you about your plan. We send them from admin@reddymatrimony.co.in. Please be careful about any email that asks for your password or payment details and is not from this address.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make an important change, we will tell members on the website or by email.
